Iraq Bitumen 60/70 raw material is the Vacuum Residue(VR). This material is the residue of heavy crude oil in the refinery distillation tower which has a high density.
The Sulphur content of the Iraqi Bitumen 60/70 is high which shows its impurity. Also, this type of bitumen has ductility approximately 64 cm.

Iraq Bitumen price is lower than the bitumen prices in other countries including Iran, Singapore and South Korea.
The pricing formula of Iraq Bitumen is based on the Persian Gulf Fuel Oil like Iran, but since it has lower quality compared to Iran bitumen, its price is approximately 10-20 USD lower than Iran bitumen price.

Iraq Bitumen Inspection
The cargo should be inspected by an international inspection company like SGS or Geo-chem. The marking and packing, containers data, quantity and lab analysis will be approved by them.
Iraq Bitumen Delivery Term
The Iraq bitumen is transferred to the Jebel Ali port from Umm Qasr or Basra in Iraq, then based on the customer’s request, it is feasible to deliver the cargo to the customer with both FOB and CFR delivery terms.
Iraq Bitumen Refineries
Only three refineries, located in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Basra, have the required technology to produce various grades of Iraq bitumen. But the 5 famous ]raq bitumen refineries which are producing bitumen 60/70 positive spot test are as below:

- Storm Land
80% of the bitumen produced by these refineries are positive spot test and only 20% are negative spot test. Generally, the refineries in Iraq are not well equipped to produce all grades of bitumen.
